The next-generation e-ticketing system is much faster than the older website. NGET IRCTC registration and IRCT login are both much easy and faster. Tatkal booking is also faster.
There are a lot of changes in the IRCTC NGET e-ticketing system:
- A whole new interface inspired by the old one, but still under up-gradation.
- IRCTC Login is now supported by Captcha. Now all users have to type a unique set of characters to log in to the NGET website.
- New Journey Planner to plan and book tickets.
All user's IRCTC account is being upgraded to the next generation e-ticketing system. When log-in first time to the NGET system, every user gets this message "Dear Customer, You have been successfully migrated to the Next Generation e-Ticketing website. To Print/Cancel/FileTDR of your old transactions done before migration, click "My Transactions" below. To book e-tickets, click "Proceed For Booking". After migration, new transactions can be viewed in "Booked Ticket History" like the given below.

When you log in to the NGET IRCTC e-ticketing system, there will be three Proceed for Booking options - Click on this if you want to book tickets, Update Profile - to update your profile, and My Transaction - to view your previous tickets and transaction.

This next-generation website is composed of many new features like all new journey planners to book tickets. Now users will also automatically log out of IRCTC account after every three minutes to minimize the load on the website. Previously, users were getting a session expired error.

IRCTC login page has improved a lot in the new next-generation e-Ticketing system of IRCTC. Now it is faster to access it to book tickets online. There are three sections in the middle: the log-in section to log in to the website and book tickets, on the left is the alert and updates section to display the latest updates and alerts to users, and on the right is the IRCTC attractions sections.
