Indian Railways started its first Kisan Rail special train. The first train started between Maharashtra's Devlali to Bihar's Danapur on Friday
afternoon which will carry fruits, vegetables, and other farm goods.
Kisan Rail special train time table
The train left from Devlali on Friday at 11 a.m. and reached Danapur at
6:45 p.m. it covers a distance of 1519 km in 32 hours. This first Kisan
Rail will return on Sunday from Danapur station.

Kisan Rail special train stops
This train will have a stoppage at Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal,
Burhanpur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Katni, Manikpur, Prayagraj,
Chheoki, Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Nagar, and Buxar.
What is special about Kisan rail?
- It is a special service of Indian railways for farmers.
- The Railway minister and agriculture minister flagged off the train.
- It will help to increase the income of farmers.
- Kisan Rail have a refrigerated coach in it, and it has carrying capacity of 17 ton with the new design manufactured by Kapurthala Railway coach factory. All the containers in this train will be a moving fridge or, say, it is moving cold storage.
The Kisan Rail service proposed in the budget
The Kisan rail service was proposed in the last budget to start through the
public-private partnership (PPP) for a cold supply chain to transport from
perishable goods.
Nasik and the surrounding region produces huge quantities of fresh
vegetables, fruits, flowers, onion, and other farm products which are
mainly transported to areas around Patna, Allahabad Katni Satna and
others.

Indian Railways' target is to double the income of farmers.
Indian railways
has done aggressive marketing of the Kisan rail among the local farmers and loaders. Demand is being created and aggregated so that the train gets established well and help farmers. The freight of this train will be charged at 'p' scale. Trait theory from Devlali to Danapur ton is rupees
4001 and from Manmad to Danapur is rupees 3849.
The target of Indian railways is to double the income of farmers by the year 2022.
